Abstract
The Strategy for the development of production of organic products in the Russian Federation until 2030 is an industry strategic planning document of the Russian Federation in the field of production of organic products, defining priorities, goals and objectives of state regulation until 2030, indicative scenarios for the development of the sector depending on the mechanisms used and the volume of state support and market conditions. The production of organic products is a set of sub-sectors of agriculture, food and processing industry, transport, wholesale and retail trade, ensuring the production, transportation, storage, processing and sale of organic products certified in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation on the domestic and foreign markets.
Organic products are environmentally friendly agricultural products, raw materials and food, the production of which does not use mineral fertilizers and chemicals (agrochemicals, pesticides, antibiotics, animal growth and fattening stimulants, hormonal drugs), with the exception of those approved for use by the Russian Federation. The scope of implementing the Strategy is the accelerated development of production and consumption of organic products in the Russian Federation, assuming growth rates higher than the growth rates of agriculture as a whole, and based on the principles of sustainable development of rural areas and cooperation, balanced development of the domestic market for the consumption of domestic organic products and their export abroad, the introduction and use of advanced scientific and technical developments in the field of organic agriculture and stimulation of entrepreneurship in the production of organic products.
The objectives of the Strategy implementation are: (a) development of the domestic consumer market - expanding consumption of organic products, increasing public awareness and trust in organic products; (b) expansion of export directions for the supply of organic products, access to new promising markets; (c) development of horizontal production links and sales channels for organic products; and (d) expansion of the production base for the production of organic products and development of technologies - increasing the area of land on which organic farming technology is applied, increasing productivity and production output.
