Abstract
This Law regulates the types and classification of waste, planning, conditions and manner of waste management and other issues of importance for the official implementation of sustainable, safe and environmentally friendly waste management on the territory of Montenegro.
This Law further defines the recycle and re-use standards and issues, marking standards, local government waste management rules, reporting and data collection rules, administrative requirements, prevention of hazardous waste effects on nature and health, waste collection methods, transport and storage provisions, processing and disposal of waste on the national territory, control over the proceedings and subsequent maintenance of landfills, including all other (primary and secondary) activities related to the waste (dealers and brokers) management.
The Law is divided into XII Chapters and 102 articles, including offences and related penalties.
